Linking To the New York Times Online
The New York Times website requires a password for access to most articles. This is a pain in the keister when you link to stories on the Times website. There is a free and easy solution.
The New York Times Link Generator takes the regular URL of a Times article and renders it into blog friendly form. Anyone accessing a story via this new URL need not register or log in. Readers still have to have a paid “Select” account to access some premium content, primarily from the opinion and editorial pages. Most other articles are free and available.
With the link generator, you can cite the superior journalism of the New York Times, rather than scrounging for some quickly expiring Associated Press synopsis on Yahoo.
